Design is refined by testing and use

PWCBoats will always offer and explain the latest technology as it applies to customer wants and usage. This complements but does not exclude designs from any era. The essence of each design will be enhanced through new technology. This is just as we expect the original designer would do.

An example of new coating technology is to be seen in the

Section below. The ability of PWCBoats to integrate new technology is guided by Peter Welch's previous 40 years of experience as an implementer of new technology in the automotive industry.

Technology Updates

One such fine product update is Strontium aluminate powder distributed here in the US by Luminawesity.com, which when used as a paint/sealer clear-additive, stores and re-emits light continuously for up to 12 hours at 70% of full daylight, recharges in 15 min of light from any source and lasts up to 20 years. Human inter-activity surfaces that glow brightly in no or little light will contribute to the quality of boating life above or below decks. Indeed, as inter-coastal waterways worldwide become more densely populated, boating safety takes on new and more challenging dynamics. All applicable optimal-selection-criteria regarding this expanding safety element of design will complement the present crucial design elements of Peter Welch Custom Boats to include barrier free, self bailing cockpits, sealed structural components filled with air that offer true un-sinkable survivability that can now also Glow-in-the-Dark.

Testimonials

“I looked after Jams for Pete while he was on a three year work assignment in China and was then rewarded with ownership upon Pete’s return when he completed Vixen.   Jam’s is now coming up on her 15th season and has served us well over the years – a testament to her basic construction integrity and quality.   The boat is easy to trailer, launch, and retrieve providing the flexibility to enjoy many various boating venues, whether here locally in the Michigan Great Lakes, the Canadian waters of the North Channel, or the Southern Florida Gulf waters.   Jams’ performance shines in protected waters, but with her sturdy construction she is also at home in almost any challenging boating situation.   Because of her sturdy construction features and seaworthy integrity, I have total confidence taking her into the open waters of the Great Lakes or Florida Gulf.   And regarding aesthetic appeals, in my opinion there is nothing quite like the pleasing sound of water lapping on the hull of a wooden boat.   Additionally, where ever we go Jams draws much attention and gets numerous compliments regarding her style and construction - at which time I have to humbly admit that while I am now the boat’s owner, it was designed and built by a good friend.   Peter Welch is a life long friend who can be trusted to provide any perspective boating customer with a uniquely styled, reliable, and efficient quality vessel.    Respectively & sincerely submitted – Mark B. Donielson.”
